PRESS RELEASE

For Immediate Release

September 09, 2010

09.09.2010 – WEST BLOOMFIELD, Michigan (September 09, 2010) - The Open Source Science Project, Inc. (theopensourcescienceproject.com), while an apolitical organization, is humbled to receive the support of US Senator Carl Levin (D-MI).  "Scientific research is critical to technological growth and modernization in our state and the nation.  Research by students could result in healthcare innovations, disease prevention, transportation advancements, environmental improvements, and could give us a better understanding of our complex world," Senator Levin noted in a written statement submitted to The Open Source Science Project earlier this year.

"Over the last century, Americans have been at the cutting edge of important scientific and technological innovations, and we have much to gain from future research.  Michigan needs bright individuals and opportunities to continue to strengthen its economy.  I look forward to hearing about this project's progress."
